Postcard 1
Every August 6th, Hiroshima Lantern Floating promotes world peace by releasing thousands of cub-shaped paper lanterns along Motaysu River and to bring peace to the souls of the victims who died in 1945 Hiroshima A-Bomb. Written June 30, 2011 and arrived in Penang on July 8, 2011. Thanks to Chiaki of Japan.


Postcard 2
I visited this surreal reminder of the bombed out building of Hiroshima. It was left as a reminder of the first atomic bomb dropped in the world by the Americans. Thanks to Michael of South Africa who sent this postcard at Kobe Port, Japan.

Hiroshima and Nagasaki were two Japanese cities that suffered from nuclear bombs during World War II. I visited the Hiroshima Peace Center Musuem. Thanks to Jim for sending this multi-view card from Hiroshima.
