Postcard 1A - Forbidden City of Beijing
I have visited the Forbidden City of Beijing - now the National Palace Museum a few times. Bought this special commemorative postcard when I was there for the Summer 2008 Beijing Olympics Opening Ceremony. Cancelled the special 8.8.08 which is the date of the opening ceremony at the Beijing post office near Tiananmen Square.

Imperial throne where the Emperor of China sat in the Forbidden City of Beijing - now called the Palace Museum. I have seen this throne several times during my Beijing visit and always impressed by the splendour and symbolism of each of the artefacts around the throne. A nice postcard of World Heritage in China - Imperial Palace of the Ming and Qing Dynasties by Hong Kong Post. It is a prepaid air mail postcard with printed matching postal stamp. Cool postmark of Kowloon City Hong Kong 28-12-2021 and arrived in Penang on Jan 10, 2021. Thanks to Ben of Hong Kong.
